LabMGF at EUROSTRUCT 2025 Dublin

Disseminating research contributions focused on innovative and data-driven approaches to bridge and infrastructure management.

From September 2 to 5 2025, the 3rd Conference of the European Association on Quality Control of Bridges and Structures (EUROSTRUCT 2025) was hosted in Dublin, Ireland, under the auspices of University College Dublin. The conference focused on sustainable and innovative solutions for the safety, performance and management of built infrastructure, addressing both traditional and modern structures.

Our PhD student Rebecca Fascia participated in EUROSTRUCT 2025 as a speaker, presenting two research contributions. The first, Preliminary BIM-based solution for bridge data management in the Italian context”, developed with Prof. Carlo Iapige De Gaetani, proposed a Bridge Information Modeling template tailored to the needs of Italian public administrations. The second, Cross-National Bridge Management Systems: A Geomatics Framework for Italian and Swiss Authorities”, led by Federica Gaspari in collaboration with LabMGF and SUPSI, explored an open-source, modular approach to bridge management across national contexts.

The conference provided a stimulating environment for discussion with researchers, practitioners and infrastructure stakeholders. Participation in EUROSTRUCT 2025 represented an important opportunity to disseminate LabMGF’s research outcomes and to contribute to the ongoing dialogue on sustainable, data-driven infrastructure management.
